Girls Day Out Ambassador Hannah Davis on Way to Olympics

Hannah Davis of Glenelg is part of the Australian Women’s K4 (Kayak) who has just delivered our country’s first four entries to the 2012 Olympics.

The quartet of Hannah Davis (SA), Rachel Lovell (QLD), Jo Brigden-Jones (NSW) and Lyndsie Fogarty (QLD) finished third in their semifinal heat at the World Championships with a time of 1:33.019, earning them not only a spot in the K4 500m world championship final but a berth for the team in the Olympic games in London next year.

“Mission accomplished,” said Martin Marinov, Australian Head Coach. “We knew it was going to be tough but it’s the best time this crew has had, so all is going according to plan.”

Hannah Davis is the Girls Day Out Ambassador, is currently studying at Uni SA and is a member of Glenelg Surf Club.
