Over the past seven years, Glam Adelaide has undergone a slew of changes, updates and image overhauls as it evolves with the content we publish.
In 2012, we are excited to launch our latest incarnation, which echos the original logo that we launched with in 2005, while introducing the vibrancy that Glam Adelaide is all about.
Award-winning agency Black Squid Design (on Melbourne Street in North Adelaide) is behind Glam Adelaide's new look.
The team at Black Squid Design, headed up by Derek Butler, work under the philosophy that there is more to branding than just a logo. Everything about the company must be taken into consideration from naming to toilet door signs. That was an important factor in choosing the right agency for the task, along with knowing the agency we chose had integrity.
As Adelaide's first positive news website, the name 'Glam Adelaide' was decided upon back during its inception to encompass the glamour, excitement and intrigue that our great city has to offer. It was about changing the perceptions about our State, and reinforcing all the amazing events, businesses and people that make Adelaide what it is.
We feel that our new branding helps to show the excitment and energy that we based our company's foundations on.
As part of our new look, the branding has been designed to allow Glam Adelaide to feature different Adelaide photographers and their work on a regular basis. Our website, Facebook page and Twitter account will all feature photography that highlights different, changing, exciting elements of South Australia throughout the year.
We have launched using photography from Wesley Hellyer (Street Urchin Photography) taken at the Adelaide Fringe Festival for the website, Glam Adelaide Facebook page, Glam Adelaide Reviews Facebook page and Glam Adelaide Twitter accounts, and a fashion shot from Brent Liederitz for our Glam Fashion Facebook page.
The new Glam Adelaide logo is versatile, and will allow us to change the colours, look and feel of our online communities depending on the season, events and focus of SA during any particular point in time.
In addition to breathing life back in to Glam Adelaide, Black Squid Design have invented, reinvented and rejuvenated numerous corporate brands including The Adelaide Entertainment Centre, The Greedy Goose, Laucke flour, Seymour College, Kenji, Patch Theatre Company, Chain of Ponds, Banrock Station Wines, Steven Ter Horst chocolatier and Carman’s muesli.
We look forward to bringing you the best South Australian photography over the coming months, along with the best South Australian news, and hope you will join us on our continuing journey.
