In a crazy year of general uncertainty, film and TV has continued to offer solace, escape, humour, passion, and a space in which to meditate (or cogitate!).
Some of our favourite Film Festivals were back on the agenda, with a bumper crop of French, Spanish, German, and Scandinavian offerings, amongst others. And with streaming services growing by the minute, some of our best writing, directing, acting, and art direction, was available to view on the small (ish!) screen.
Glam’s dedicated reviewers have chosen their favourites for this year, from a very strong field. Some of the films are now available on streaming, and some are still showing at cinemas. We encourage you to enjoy your at-home viewing, whilst still supporting our wonderful, local, movie-houses.
