The winter menu is a celebration of the multicultural kitchen at Glen Ewin Estate and sees the dishes translate the teams’ cultures from culinary traditions to plate.

Executive Chef, Jason Theng is Malaysian, and his team comes from varying backgrounds including Filipino, Japanese, Australian and Korean.

The new winter menu is a step away from Glen Ewin’s traditional Modern Australian menu, but you will still see the estate’s famous homegrown figs used in a variety of ways within the dishes. The menu is superbly crafted using fresh SA produce.

Some entree highlights include estate fig sourdough with spring onion-infused olive oil and house blend spiced sesame, crispy soft tofu with mushroom chili bean ragu, Tasmanian salmon sashimi with a soy & ginger dressing, aioli, fig leaf oil and roe.

Some of the delectable mains include OBE free-range beef sirloin with cumin & bay leaf butter and a signature fig jus, a crispy pork belly preserved mustard greens with a fig & vinegar sauce, Glen Ewin Estate duck & gin sausages, homemade dumplings (7), wood ear mushroom, vermicelli, garlic chives served with a miso broth, as well as a Filipino afritada with a fig & chilli chutney and jus.

You will be hardened to find your favourite out of the two fig-tastic desserts. The dessert menu includes a Pandan cotta with burnt butter crumbs, caramelised coconut cream served with toasted brioche, as well as a sticky fig rice with fig leaf anglaise served with a Fig Gin caramel.

Glen Ewin Estate has such a rich history as the property is set amongst picturesque gardens, a fig orchard, beautiful lakes, home to black swans, ducks and a variety of other native bird life. Glen Ewin Estate is located only 30 minutes from Adelaide CBD but feels as if you’ve been transported a world away.

The lunch menu is available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am – 2:30pm.
