Gin lovers, this may be one of the most popular gin events of the year! Not only will you get to taste heaps of local gin brands, but you’ll also get to enjoy a gorgeous venue, the stunning Glen Ewin Estate.
Glen Ewin is back hosting their now infamous Gin Fest. After taking a hiatus in 2020 and coming back with a bang last year. It’s our turn to enjoy this year’s Gin Fest on the Saturday of the June Long Weekend. Gin Fest is packed with opportunities for any gin amateur or fanatic out there.
Not only will there be gin masterclasses and tastings, but there will also be a selection of food stall/trucks available to make sure you don’t go hungry. These will be located in Glen Ewin’s ‘food court’ area open to all who’s peckish.
The Pulpshed will serve as the main tasting and party room, which will be open from 11am to 6pm. The day will include tastings from local distilleries, along with drinks prepared directly by distillers for you. You will be able to purchase you favourite gins from their bottle shop so that it can be Gin Fest every weekend in the comfort of your home.
The gin masterclasses on offer will provide an up close and personal experience with a distillery and you will be able to sample their craft products.
Some of the incredible distillers include, Ambleside, Prohibition, Applewood, Soul Bird, Heaps Good Gin, Pot & Still and more!
All guests receive a complimentary polycarbonate glass on arrival to be used for all of the wonderful tastings and drinks.
The estate boasts an incredible atmosphere surrounded by amazing views of the Adelaide Hills. Once the main tastings are complete at 4, the party starts and you will be able to dance till your hearts content.
Guests will also be able to enjoy live music throughout the day from the one and only, Entertainment Adelaide.
If getting to-and-fro is an issue, there will be a gin bus that will meet at 10am for a 10:15am departure from North Terrace in front of the Convention Centre, and return trip leaving at 6:15pm from Glen Ewin Estate that will drop you off at the same location. Click here to see map location.
