The City of Holdfast Bay and Adelaide Airport Ltd have joined forces to give 2010 an extra special send off.
Sponsorship by Adelaide Airport means that there will be an extra 9.30pm firework display at Glenelg to help our younger visitors celebrate New Year.
City of Holdfast Bay Mayor Ken Rollond said it’s a welcome partnership.
“It’s great to work with a respected organisation in our community for the benefit of everyone.”
“We all have memories of good times at the Bay and this year, thanks to Adelaide Airport Limited, we can help people create more treasured memories.”
Phil Baker, Managing Director of Adelaide Airport agreed.
“Adelaide Airport is a keen supporter of our local community and what better way for families to celebrate the start of a great new year than with fireworks at the beach.”
The entertainment will kick off at 8.30pm on the main stage at Glenelg, with firework displays at 9.30pm at both Brighton and Glenelg. Then at midnight the traditional City of Holdfast Bay firework display at Glenelg will welcome in 2011.
Numerous and extensive dry zones will be in operation so that revellers can relax and enjoy the magnificent spectacle in a world-class location.
