As South Australia inches closer to a sizzling hot summer, the beloved indulgent treat of Ice Cream will soon become a regular staple in our diet.

So, to celebrate everyone’s favourite icy treat, Glenelg is set to host an epic Ice Cream festival for the first time this October. Set to be held on the bustling Jetty Road precinct on October 30, the ice cream palooza will be the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Kicking off at 11am, Jetty Road will transform into a street party celebrating all things ice cream, gelato and sorbet with pop-up bars, food stalls and a kids zone to keep Adelaide foodies big and small entertained throughout the day.

Guests can expect to taste an array of gelato and ice cream flavours from across the globe, watch live and roving entertainment and strut your stuff in the exciting fashion parade. The giant Mix 102.3 Ferris Wheel will also make a return to the seaside location so you can marvel at the festival fun from up in the sky.

While the Jetty Road street party will finish at 5pm, the celebrations won’t stop there! The exciting ice cream fun will spill out onto Glenelg’s side streets for the remainder of the evening until 10pm.

With further details still yet to be announced, the Ice Cream Festival is shaping up to be a sugary day filled with fun and sweet treats.

For those eager for the festivities, the event will be free to attend. Guests will be required to QR check-in at each of the businesses they visit to ensure the day can go forward COVID safe.

Jetty Road is home to an array of mouth-watering foodie gems, fashionable storefronts and the gateway to the iconic Glenelg beachfront. The Ice Cream Festival is the perfect excuse to dip your toes in the sea while you indulge in the frozen treat.

The Ice Cream Festival will run between 11am and 5pm on October 30.
