It might be chilly down at the beach this winter, but things are certainly heating up at the Glenelg Winter Arts Festival. With steamy acts from sizzling performers, The May Wirth venue at Colley Reserve is the hottest place in Adelaide right now.

Hosted by the very funny and clever Tash York, and with rocking performances from legendary cabaret performer Leather Lungs, Peek is a one hour show that’s over before you know it. It’s fun, fast, flirty, and absolutely fantastic.

This is drag and burlesque cabaret, so it’s blatant, shameless and guiltless voyeurism at its best. The costumes are sexy, the cast are too, and I challenge you to look away while they stun their audience with acrobatics, aerial displays, illusion, song, dance and more.

Being an Adelaide crowd, it did take a while for the audience to warm up. But the venue was heated and cosy, and it wasn’t long at all before the nearby residents of Glenelg must have thought an invasion had begun. The May Wirth was rockin’.

Playing until Sunday, there are only a few opportunities left to catch this extravaganza. If you like your entertainment impressive, bold, erotic and funny, book yourself tickets now. Not to be missed.
