Get ready Adelaide, an international robotics company has launched its first Australian branch and it’s out of this world.

RV Automation Technology officially opened its Research and Development facility in Glynde today in partnership with local universities.

The global company is a developer and retailer of autonomous devices and systems focusing on people-centric robotic applications which can be used to support future infrastructure, planning and smart city needs.

Lauded by Microsoft for its “first-of-a-kind” technology, the robots have been adopted in various sectors including aviation, logistics, healthcare, property, hospitality, food and beverage, governmental departments and public organisations.

As the State’s advanced manufacturing capabilities continue to achieve global recognition, RV Automation is looking for their next employees.

RV Automation is aiming to boost its team by a further five positions to 10 FTE roles across research and development, sales, project management and maintenance to support the expansion and growth of the business.

If you’re a robotic engineer student, it could be your lucky day as RV Technology is in discussions with all three South Australian universities to create further industry placement opportunities.

RV Technology are undertaking joint research and development programs with local universities and aged care facilities to develop Autonomous Mobile Robots and Agnostic Robotic Control System (ARCS) to further fuel the Australian robotic ecosystem.

These words might sound meaningless to you, but RV Technology is set to demonstrate the State’s world-leading smart tech solutions, as acknowledged by RV Automation Technology CEO Rio Chau.

“We look forward to contributing to the growth of the Australian robotics industry and transform Australia through the power of RV’s robots and ARCS platform,” Rio says.

The company will focus on delivering robotics solutions to local businesses and industries – including autonomous mobility chair, transporter, and food and beverage delivery – while investing in South Australia’s innovative Research and Development sector.

Founded in 2015, RV Automation has footprints in Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe, Shenzhen, and Taiwan.

The Malinauskas Labor Government continues to support interstate and overseas businesses looking to establish in SA through the State’s Landing Pad program, driving local jobs and growing key industries.
