A new Hotpot location has touched down in Mawson Lakes, bringing with it authentic Chinese flavours and years of experience.
YangGuoFu is one of the most well-known Malatang brands all over the world. Founded in 2003, the company now has over 20 years of experience and over 7000 stores internationally, including locations in China, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Italy, Germany, UK, Spain, Japan, Korea, and more.
Malatang, a type of Chinese hotpot, is a popular soup-based street food from Sichuan in southwestern China. At YangGuoFu, the hotpot has a herbal base with fresh flavours. Diners can fill their bowls with ingredients like vegetables, noodles, tofu, meat, and seafood, plus a soup base to create the ultimate customisable meal, priced at $39 a kilogram.
Once you have chosen your ingredients, the chefs will then cook your creation for you and deliver it straight to your table. Whilst waiting, make your own complimentary sauce or browse the lineup of drinks and side dishes. The YangGuoFu chefs make everything in-house and are trained specially at the YangGuoFu training centre.
As for drinks, YangGuoFu Mawson Lakes has a great range of wines from local Adelaide Hills producer, Anvers, including their 20-year-old tawny, reds, whites and rosé. In addition, you’ll find beers, soft drinks and coffee all on the menu.
The side dishes are always switching up, giving guests something new to try each time they come in. Since opening, the menu has featured handmade spring rolls, pumpkin taro balls known as dragon balls, and Chinese doughnuts with Osmanthus nectar. These make the perfect addition to any meal.
YangGuoFu will also be bringing sweet treats and milk tea to the store, and with the opening hours being between 11am and 9pm, not only can you stop in for lunch and dinner, but also indulge in afternoon tea.
YangGuoFu at Mawson Lakes is the first of its kind in Adelaide joining the long list of global locations, and is located just outside the new and highly anticipated Crowne Plaza Hotel. Mawson Lakes is only a 25-minute drive from the Adelaide city centre, so whether you’ve been looking for an excuse to head north, find yourself staying at the Crowne Plaza or are a Mawson Lakes local, this might just be what you’ve been looking for.
