The Royal Adelaide Show is set to capture the imagination of attendees with an exciting lineup of entertainment for this year’s event. Prominent acts from Adelaide Fringe’s popular hub, Gluttony, will be featured, ensuring a spectacle for all age groups.
The event, a massive draw for the community and tourists alike, will run from Saturday, 31 August to Sunday, 8 September. The Show’s organisers are keen to showcase an array of performances that promise to enhance the experience for all visitors.
Will Rayner, CEO of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society, highlighted the eclectic mix of entertainment. “It is exciting to be partnering with another iconic South Australian event and sharing the fun, excitement, and talents of the Gluttony performers across cabaret, magic, music, and family entertainment,” he said. He described the Royal Adelaide Show as “Adelaide’s best value day out” and encouraged attendees to plan their visit to maximise their experience.
Free stage performances will include acts like 80’s Ladies, the Circus Firemen, Wham Glam Circus Man, the Big Wheel Show, and Kaleidoscope Cabaret, all scheduled to play on the Boulevard Stage. Each act brings a unique flavour, ensuring that there is “truly something for everyone,” as Rayner mentioned.
In addition, family-focused entertainment will be expanded this year. The Goyder Stage will host a full five-day program featuring interactive performances from popular ABC characters including Bluey, Dirtgirl, and Kangaroo Beach.
Gluttony Director Elena Kirschbaum shared, “We love collaborating with great South Australian organisations to delight audiences year-round through the arts and live entertainment.” Kirschbaum views the partnership with the Royal Adelaide Show as a perfect setting to transition the vibrant Fringe atmosphere to the Showground.
The Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, responsible for organising the Royal Adelaide Show, continues to promote South Australia’s primary industries by recognising excellence and staging impactful events.
