Gluttony Wine and Food Day

Fringe destination Gluttony will conclude its 2012 season in fitting form, with a Wine and Food Day in Rymill Park on Sunday 18 March.

Gluttony was nominated for Best Venue of the 2011 Adelaide Fringe. It is wholly South Australian owned and operated, with a focus on showcasing Fringe acts from across Australia and around the world in a relaxed, boutique atmosphere with quality food and drink.

More than 50 wines will be available either by the glass or by the bottle at discounted rates, from producers including Peter Lehmann, Giesen, O’Leary Walker, Yalumba, Langmeil, Spinifex, Wirra Wirra, Leasingham, Rymil, Some Young Punks, Alpha Box and Dice, John Duval, Tintara, Cigale, Kastambul, Groom, Bleasdale, Running With Bulls, Saint Clair, Mac Forbes, Redbank, Mahi, Glen Eldon, Ta_Ku, Simpatico, Bollinger and Primo Estate.

“It’s always a bittersweet feeling, bumping out a venue at the end of a tiring but fun festival season,” says Daniel Michael, Gluttony co-director.

“Rather than pack up the leftover wine and send it back to the distributors, we’d love for Fringegoers to come and have a last hurrah at Gluttony for 2012.

“Grab a glass of wine, pull up a beanbag, plonk yourself under a tree and enjoy the surrounds of Gluttony on our last day for this Mad March.”

Tastebuds will be well taken care of at Gluttony too, of course. Edinburgh Fringe food favourites Well Hung & Tender’s burgers have been a hit in Adelaide, while local foodies Chipotle’s Mexican goodies have pleased the crowds for a second year in a row. Gluttony will open in Rymill Park at 11am until late. Shows will continue as scheduled in Gluttony’s six performance venues as scheduled.
