Going To The Chapel? Check Out The Five Top Tips For Stress Free Wedding Planning

No one likes a bridezilla… Check out these tips to help you remain stress free when wedding planning….

If you’re reading this then we are going to take a guess and say that you are engaged, know someone that is engaged or just really want to be engaged. Well if it is the first, congratulations, if it is the second, you are a great friend, and if it is the third, your time will come (we hope).

After the amazing high of getting engaged wears off, the reality of wedding planning can set in. It can all be a little more daunting than you had ever thought. The ‘to do’ list can become somewhat insanely long and seeminly impossible to complete.

But that is where we step in and realise that, hey, you might just need a little guidance. So we went straight to the experts at Love Cherish Adore – the boutique and unique fair, online directory and blog all about weddings! If anyone will know, it is them!

Let’s start by saying that their first comment was, and we quote, “you cannot keep everyone happy, it is impossible.” Wise words… Besides, this is your wedding and the only person that needs to be happy with it at the end of the day is yourself and the person that you are marrying!

In saying that here are the top five tips for planning a wedding without all of the stress:

You’ve Got (e)Mail

As soon as that engagement ring slips on to your finger, grab your computer and organise a wedding email address. Ok, maybe have a few celebratory drinks first, but then organise that email! It just means that all of the wedding related correspondence between yourself and any wedding vendors will all hit the one spot. No sifting through work or personal emails, just straight to the business. Plus you won’t (or at least shouldn’t) lose any of your emails.

Baby Got Budget

Budget. The word that no woman wants to hear. But it is important and does need to play a priority when organising a wedding. However big or small your budget is you’ll need to set out a list of what you’d like to have at your wedding and prioritise what’s important to you. If having a good photographer or a designer gown is at the top of the list then think about what you can cull or compromise from your budget, such as bonbonniere. Is anyone really going to care if they go home without a bag of sugared almonds?!

I Choose You
Almost as important as choosing the groom himself, so is choosing your key wedding vendors. Whilst their quote must match your budget, make sure you do some research before you commit to booking them and give serious consideration to their style of work. Word of mouth recommendations are good, however meeting them face to face at a wedding fair such as Love Cherish Adore is a great way of seeing their work in person.

Lock It In

Don’t waste your time when it comes to booking in your vendors. Venues and photographers can get snapped up so quickly during wedding season, you don’t want to miss out. Seriously, don’t delay in getting in touch and confirming your date with them. And to ensure you don’t miss out on your date, make sure that you pay your deposit on time. Your booking is only set in stone once that payment has been received.

The Wedding Planner

Now this might seem like a luxury, but you might be surprised when we say that it may actually save you money! Yes, that got your attention… It is a planner’s job to know the industry inside and out and they may also be able to negotiate some pretty cool discounts or value adds. The best thing of all is that they will take a lot of the stress out of the coordination leading up to and on the big day.

Using these tips, you will hopefully find yourself enjoying a stress free, beautiful and love filled wedding day.
