Golding Wines is set to offer a unique dining experience this November with its first ever Melbourne Cup Lunch. To be held on November 5th, the day of the famed horse race, this stunning garden event promises a gorgeous blend of shared dining, entertainment, and fashion.
Indulge in a delectable lunch on Golding Wines’ picturesque garden terrace, surrounded by lush greenery and shaded by majestic trees, for $110 per person. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Last Hurrah Sparkling Wine, setting the tone for a luxurious afternoon. The four-course menu features high-quality, seasonal produce meticulously prepared to appeal to every palate.
The starter includes heirloom tomato and rosemary focaccia paired with Adelaide Hills first harvest olive oil and confit garlic. This will be followed by a second course offering both a cold smoked salmon tartare with avocado mousse and a Prosciutto Di Parma complemented by charred asparagus, radish panna cotta, and pepita seed praline.
The main attractions in the third course are the pan seared sword fish along with a roasted beetroot and citrus salad, and a succulent free range sous vide chicken breast, served with lemon thyme and garlic. Each dish is carefully planned to balance flavours and textures, promising a true culinary delight.
Finishing off the meal, guests will indulge in an Adelaide Hills cheese board featuring Triple cream brie Brûlée and Section 28 Mont Priscilla. A selection of petit fours will complete the dining experience, accompanied by tea and coffee.
Live music from Lucas Day will entertain guests throughout the afternoon.
Attendees are encouraged to ‘Dress to Impress’, with a prize for the Best Headwear, plus there’s prizes in the sweepstakes up for grabs, a lucky ticket prize, and big screens to ensure guests don’t miss any action from the Melbourne Cup race.
“We are looking forward to hosting a fun day out on our terrace for our first ever Melbourne Cup Lunch,” said co-owner Lucy Golding. “With a delicious shared seasonal menu and all the cup trimmings, including headwear prizes and sweeps, it is the perfect day to share with friends in a relaxed garden setting.”
