Gorgeous bottle of Paracombe Wines up for international design award

In the first-ever PACKWINE design award show, Paracombe Wines is nominated for their beautiful “A Trio of Pinot” Sparkling Rosè.

Wine lovers! If you love wine bottle design and label art as well as delicious wines, then it’s time to vote in the Packwine 2021 Design Awards.

Lucky for South Aussies, SA’s own Paracombe Wines is up for a People’s Choice Award for the design of their beautiful “A Trio of Pinot” Sparkling Rosè.

The wine is described as a “joyful gathering of three Pinot family members, Gris, Noir and Blanc playfully blended for this sparkling wine with soft blush colour,” and the bottle art depicts this colour and mood beautifully.

The embossed, raised rose gold foil print of the bottle looks lovely and portrays the colour of the wine in a way that pops on the subtly textured, off-white paper stock. There’s also a vine and grape design that features three bunches of grapes to signify the three pinot grape varieties used in this wine.

The elegant, olde world, whimsical yet modernistic style was designed by Milly Howell, Gavin Klose and Kathy Drogemuller.

Paracombe Wines co-founder Kathy Drogemuller explains the importance of the wine.

“We felt sparkling rosé was an emerging wine style set to grow in popularity to be enjoyed at celebrations, picnics, lunches,” Kathy says.

“I was excited as I could not find this style of wine made from the three pinot grape varieties, so we were setting a trend and a game changer in the market. The packaging was important.”

This is the first-ever PACKWINE design award show, and they aim to highlight the best of wine design in Australia and New Zealand.

“The PACKWINE Design Awards will celebrate the very best packaging innovations, with winners across several categories selected by a panel of industry experts,” they say.
