Who’s up for lunch? Because we’re salivating over these succulent porchetta rolls.

As purveyors of all the great things in SA, particularly all the amazing food options that our state has to offer, we thought we’d bring your attention to Schinella’s Your Local Market, the family-run business now offering divine porchetta rolls.

Slow-cooked in store for over five hours, these porchetta rolls are the ultimate lunchtime indulgence for pork enthusiasts.

Made with freshly-baked bread rolls, finely-chopped cabbage salad, flavoursome roast potatoes and succulent crackling, they are just one of the latest great offerings available at this local South Aussie business.

Established over twenty-five years ago by three brothers from Broken Hill who grew up working in their father’s shop, Schinella’s Your Local Market then known as Adelaide Fresh Fruiterers, started off as a humble greengrocer selling locally-grown fruit and veg.

With aspirations of providing shoppers with locally sourced products and convenience, the business has since grown into a fully-fledged market offering everything from pantry staples like flour, nuts and pasta to continental goods, cured meats and cheeses.

The Prospect road-based business also sells an abundance of heat and eat meals including pasta, schnitzels, arancini, cabbage rolls, soups, salads, quiches and more.

Prepared freshly in-store every day, they’re a real saviour on those nights when you don’t feel like cooking but you also don’t want unhealthy takeout either.

“People were time-poor and looking for convenience, so, we wanted our business to be seen as a one-stop-shop, ” says Sara Harb nee Schinella, Schinella’s Business Development Manager.

“This meant creating fresh and healthy food options that mimicked home-cooked meals.”

The epicness of this business doesn’t stop there, as Schinella’s also has their own bakery (Schinella’s Artisan bakery) that offers a range of freshly-baked bread, continental pastries and custom-made cakes made by speciality pastry chefs, as well as their own resident butcher (My Local Butcher).

If you’re looking for that perfect custom floral bouquet or hamper to spoil a loved one with, Schinella’s also has you covered with their very own on-site florist, Fresh Petals.

Schinella’s will also help you host your next function with their extensive list of antipasto platters to choose from and some of the most epic grazing tables we have ever seen.

Let’s also not forget this cannoli cake, which is basically the cannoli cake to end all cannoli cakes.

This place truly is the ultimate local one-stop-shop!

Schinella’s is also big on supporting other SA local businesses with a majority of their stock coming from local growers and suppliers such as Maggie Beer, Udder Delights, Woodside Cheese Wrights, Spring Gully and many more.

“By using local suppliers and growers, we are able to support local jobs as well as our environment as it means not having to travel so far for stock.”

“Not to mention, SA is very privileged to have some of the best produce in the world and in Australia.”

So next time you’re looking to fill your cupboards with a delectable line up of local goods, aim for after 11 AM most weekends, and you’ll be able to get your hands on one of Schinella’s tantalising porchetta rolls at the same time.
