Grab Your Girlfriends For This Apothecary Wine Dinner

In November Apothecary 1878 will host a Paracombe Wines Dinner where respective owners, Paola Coro and Kathy Drogemuller introduce guests to not only some exemplary wines but also to each other.

Look ahead for the upcoming opportunity to gather alongside likeminded women in one of Adelaide’s most cultivated venues. In November Apothecary 1878 will host a Paracombe Wines Dinner where respective owners, Paola Coro and Kathy Drogemuller introduce guests to not only some exemplary wines but also to each other.

Paracombe cellar door is unfortunately not open to the public 9-5 (you can book ahead though) so there’s not as many opportunities as we’d like to drink their award winning wines.

Nationally they’ve received a host of accolades, recently they won the Blue Gold The Reuben 2013 and listed as one of the Top 100 wines in the 2018 Sydney International Wine Competition.

The night is described by Donny Walford, Managing Director and Found of Behind Closed Doors as an opportunity for women to make some time to network in a fun manner.

Their team up with Apothecary is simply too welcome, especially since it’s not all business because you can expect a three-course dinner perfectly complemented by Paracombe wines.

You’ll be met with canapés on arrival as well as a glass of Paracombe Pinot Noir Chardonnay Sparkling. There’s a house smoked salmon rillete, grilled chicken with jalapeno verde. Taste the Paracombe Gruner V5 2017 and Paracombe Pinot Gris 2018 alongside your meal.

Then welcome the pan seared kingfish and the 2016 Paracombe Pinot Noir and 2015 Paracombe Malbec. Finish off with a chocolate Assiette alongside the 2010 Paracombe Somerville Shiraz.

Who doesn’t love sitting in a historic French cellar door, provides the perfect casual setting for a get together that’s sure to build long-lasting relationships. Not only will you learn about your peers, but it’ll give you a chance to learn about wine in a fun, informal way. If all the different wines on offer have given you a grain of anxiety, don’t worry, there’s no pretentiousness with that.
