The aroma of charcoal chicken has been wafting through the crisp Grange beach air since early 2025, when owner Daniel Ali took over what was formerly the Coastal Delicatessen.
But just months after opening its doors, Lezzet Restaurant & Cafe has received the full rebrand treatment, now operating under the name Al Sultan Restaurant & Cafe Grange.

The venue, which opened in February with a menu of authentic Turkish and Lebanese cuisine, was originally the third venture by experienced Adelaide restaurateur Daniel Ali. He is also the owner of the popular Al Sultan Shisha Restaurant in Enfield and Shisha Lounge on Hindley Street.
The decision to rebrand was a no-brainer, after Ali noticed strong early success and growing interest from customers already familiar with the Al Sultan name.
“Al Sultan on Main North Road has been really successful and it made sense to turn it into a franchise,” Ali said.

Known for its charcoal-cooked meats and hearty Middle Eastern offerings, the Grange location now carries the same name and identity as Ali’s established Enfield restaurant, which has built a loyal customer base.
“Everyone is satisfied with the delicious meat,” Ali said. “A lot of people have given beautiful feedback, and brought their families and friends, which is really nice.”
The decision to bring everything under one name came from growing demand and the chance to build on a name people already know and trust. The name had already made a real impression for Enfield diners.
“Six months ago, it was so popular and people loved it,” Ali said about his Enfield restaurant.
But devastatingly, shortly after, the restaurant was ravaged by a firebomb attack in the early hours, leaving behind severe damage that the owners are still working to repair.
“At the end of the month,” Ali told us, “people were calling, saying, ‘We miss the food, we need the food.’ And then I thought, why not turn Lezzet into the second Al Sultan.”
Despite the name change, the Grange venue continues to serve the menu favourites that made Lezzet popular with locals from the start. With a few tweaks, it will soon match the menu that made the original Enfield Al Sultan so well loved.
Dishes include mixed grills, yiros, ABs, falafel, dips, burgers, salads, and more, all cooked with the same care and quality that has defined Daniel’s food for nearly two decades.
“We’ve got charcoal, we’ve got everything. Our burgers are amazing, with nice, soft buns and top-quality ingredients.”

Ali says he sources all his spices directly from Turkey to capture authentic flavours that can’t be matched using Australian ingredients. While it costs more, he believes the flavour is worth every cent.
With plans to expand the brand even further, Daniel says staffing and skill development are key to the business’s future.
“It’s all about having skilled staff who do a great job,” Ali said. “My goal is to teach them all the recipes and show them how to cook our food to perfection,” he says.
The rebrand has come early in the Grange restaurant’s lifespan, but you’ll still be able to get the same authentic Turkish and Lebanese food that comes straight from the heart. Al Sultan in Grange is open now.
