Think creative and be bold, the 2021 Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund annual grants round is now open for applications.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available to Australian artists, South Australian producers, and venue operators, who are eager to share their flair at the 2021 Adelaide Fringe.
The Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund has operated for the last seven years, delivering almost $500,000 in grants to independent Australian artists.
A number of funding streams are available, including ‘Make it Happen’ focussed on practical financial assistance, ‘Innovate and Create,’ as well as South Australian producer and venue grants.
The announcement is particularly timely in the current COVID-19 turmoil, which has weighed heavily on arts and festival sectors.
Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall has described this year’s funding round as “designed to support and strengthen Australian artists planning to produce new works to present at the 2021 Festival.”
Artists and projections teeming with diversity, innovation and creativity are encouraged to apply.
Croall states the Fringe is, “looking forward to brighter and more vibrant times in 2021, and we can’t wait to be out and about enjoying work from artists once again.”
Let preparation for the Festival season begin.
Applications for the Adelaide Fringe Artist Grants must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday 28 June.
The 2021 Adelaide Fringe Festival will run from 19 February until 21 March.
