Experience all the glitz and glamour of the 1920s for a night with the upcoming Gatsby Party.
The team behind Jack and Jill’s Basement Bar and Flinders Gin Distillers have come together to host a night of frivolous fun.
It will be held at Jack and Jill’s Basement Bar on Friday, September 24.
The night will include five courses of cocktails and a degustation menu to go along.
“The chefs at Jack and Jill’s Basement Bar are working backwards to match the food with the cocktails,” managing director of Flinders Gin Distiller Leah Trotta says.
The cocktails served on the night are Great Gatsby inspired with all five replicating those featured in the novel itself.
There will be prizes on the night for best dressed with winners awarded gifts from Flinders Gin Distillers range of products.
“They will win Flinders produced products including tea that is yet to be released as well as candles – anything to fit our brand’s luxury rustic theme,” Leah says.
“They don’t have to go into a huge fuss with the dress-ups.”
“There will be extra accessories available on the night and if all else fails, come in black and white and we’ll do the rest.”
With live four-piece jazz quartet soundtracking the night, the event will take you back in time.
Leah says the secret entrance to the bar through Hyde Street will be very fitting with the mischief of the era and guests will also be slyly greeted with their first cocktails as they arrive.
“Our brand motto is a little bit fancy and a whole lot of fun so we’re trying to replicate that in our events,” she says.
Flinders Gin Distillers are a new distillery in the Flinders Ranges which launched in June this year.
Jack and Jill’s Basement Bar is located below Jack & Jill’s Bar and Restaurant and with its own separate entrance at 121 Pirie St, Adelaide.
The entrance for the event will be from 6 pm for people 18 years old and over, and tickets cost $99.
