Global rock superstars Green Day – Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool – have announced the Australian leg of their monumental 2024/25 The Saviors Tour, which celebrates significant milestones of their career. The tour is set to present their acclaimed albums “Dookie” and “American Idiot” in their entirety. This announcement follows their latest album release, “Saviors,” currently available through Reprise/Warner Records. While three Australian dates have been listed, Adelaide hasn’t been included on the tour. This follows The Killers’ tour announcement earlier this week, which also saw SA missed from their tour.
The Greenday tour promises an extensive set list, including complete performances of the albums that forged their enormous following and reshaped punk music —”Dookie,” celebrating 30 years, and “American Idiot,” marking 20 years. Fans can expect to hear new tracks from “Saviors” as well as some of their greatest hits.
Special guest is revered Californian rockers, AFI, who make a welcome return to Australia for the first time since 2017.
The Australian tour kicks off at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on March 1st, then heading to Sydney’s Engie Stadium on March 3rd, and wrapping up at the CBUS Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on March 5th.
General public ticket sales launch on September 20.
