Slap some eyeliner under your eyes and paint those nails black because Green Day’s, American Idiot (the Broadway musical) is coming to Adelaide!
Winner of two Tony Awards and a Grammy for ‘Best Musical Show Album’, American Idiot is a story of “three boyhood friends, each searching for meaning in a post 9/11, Trumpian-suburbia, discovering love, loss, drugs, sex and rock and roll along the way”.
This isn’t your classic musical though, American Idiot features every headbanger from the album of the same name, as well as music from Green Day’s follow up album ’21st Century Breakdown’.
The high octane show features an all Australian cast, with Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson returning to play the lead role, St Jimmy, after debuting in Brisbane.

American Idiot will be playing at Her Majesty’s theatre from Friday 19 January to Sunday, 28th January.
