Get ready to glow (literally) from the inside and out, with the ultimate night time neon event. Set to be an epic voyage through the South Parklands involving foam, UV powder, and a UV forest and finishing up with Fringe Acts and DJs late into the night, GLOW 2018 is going to be all kinds of groovy.
The South Australian Road Runners Club are organising this event, having had a long history of road running in the state. The SARRC Vice President Voula Nisyrios is excited to be venturing, for the first time, into the fun and frivolous world of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
“We wanted to design an event that could be for people of all running abilities, so a short course was needed, and as it is part of Adelaide Fringe we just had to throw in some UV Lights and Foam!” says Nisyrios.
“The GLOW course is a 2.1KM loop, meaning you can walk it, run it, dance it, as few, or as many times as you want.” she continues.
The distance of 2.1KM was decided after a Charity Partnership with HeartKids was created, as the human heart is formed at 21 days. A donation will be made to the Charity from a percentage of the entry fees, and fundraising will take place at the event.
All finishers who head through the Finish Arch will receive the Adelaide Fringe GLOW Medal, a GLOW T-Shirt, and access to the Main Stage and Party Areas, to ensure grooving into the night.
