Family Friendly Events
Boo at the Zoo
Back for another year, Boo at the Zoo is a frightfully-fun night of entertainment suitable for the entire family. Dress up in your best costumes and stop for a snap at the spooky decorations scattered around the zoo. Plus, follow the trick-or-treat trail and fill up your treat back with delicious goodies from fantastic local companies.
This year there is also an earlier session, starting at 3pm for anyone who would benefit from a low-sensory environment.

WEA: Make Your Own Witch’s Broom Workshop
In a jam-packed four-hour session unleash your inner artist and create your very own witch’s broom. Make and decorate a full-sized broom that can be taken home and used. Using a premade witches’ broom, you will cleanse the broom, then carefully choose what embellishments and crafts you will use to make it magical while you chant your intention, setting it into your broom to make this the most magical tool to use in your home.

Halloween Wail at the Gaol!
Wail at the Gaol is back for the ultimate family friendly Halloween event, where guests can explore the spooky Adelaide Gaol, whilst dressing up, with food trucks, live music, arcade games and more. For the kids there is games, craft sessions, and a special treat trail, plus, pre-order your treat bags when booking and let them collect stamps along the way.

BOO! Halloween Comes to Market
Halloween is coming to the Adelaide Farmers’ Market, kicking off the festivities early with a trick-or-treat trail and a chance to win a Halloween family hampers. Enjoy breakfast, shop for local produce, and soak up the festive atmosphere. Prizes will be drawn at 12 noon, so don’t miss out on the spooky fun!

Urth Clay Studio Halloween
Urth Clay Studio is running two sessions this spooky season, where guests can make their own decoration, bowl or ghost candle holder. On Tuesday at Burnside and Thursday at Goodwood, dress up and make some memories as you are walked through the process of making your own unique piece. This is suitable for any age, but bookings are essential!

Ritual – The Chosen Ones Halloween Walk-Through
Get the family into the spirit at Ritual – The Chosen Ones. Ritual is set in an eerie, immersive environment where nature and the supernatural collide. As you wander through the twisted paths, you’ll encounter scenes and characters that are as beautiful as they are terrifying.
This event is suited to all ages with a sensory safe session for special needs and young kids before the main sessions. Theres also food trucks and a portion of the proceeds from this event go to the Save Our Wildlife Foundation, helping wildlife in need.

The Spookhouse at the Beachouse
The iconic Glenelg Beachouse is being transformed into a family-friendly haunted mansion all Halloween weekend, featuring photo ops and trick-or-treating galore. A timed pass – only required for participating guests – unlocks access to waterslides, dodgem cars, bumper boats, mini golf, a carousel, play castle, train, and arcade games.
There’s even a chance to win a $200 fun card, all you have to do is take your best shot of your outfit when you are at The Beachouse during The Spookhouse Weekend and email your picture along with the ticket holder name for your chance to win!
