Gypsy & The Cat Ready New Album and National Tour

 

Melbourne’s Gypsy & The Cat toed the line of the Australian musical landscape between shimmering synth-pop and out-there indie pop with their debut album ‘Gilgamesh’; naturally and effortlessly making an impact whilst building a strong fan base globally.  Its follow up, the duo’s eagerly awaited new album The Late Blue, will be released on October 19, followed by a national tour starting October 26.
 
Written, produced and recorded entirely by Xavier Bacash and Lionel Towers and mixed by Dave Fridman (MGMT, Flaming Lips), The Late Blue is an album written on the road, referential to the past, recorded in the country, to be played in the city today and tomorrow, and released via their own label Alsatian Music.  
 
The Late Blue’s release follows a heavy touring schedule over the last 2 years, including Japan’s Summersonic, Big Day Out, Future Music Festival and Splendour in the Grass, headline tours in Australia, France, Germany, Switzerland, UK, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and an Australian support set on Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour.
 
Gypsy and the Cat’s new album The Late Blue is released October 19 via Alsatian Music/Universal Music Australia. They play HQ Complex on November 1. Tickets available via Moshtix
