Sweet fiends of Adelaide rejoice, Hahndorf has welcomed a new delightful eatery named Black Cherry Dessert Bar.
Opened by Tess Stevens and partner, Nico van Rooyen, the pair have turned their passion of hospitality and desserts into a reality.
The couple noticed a lack of dessert options for people visiting Hahndorf, and decided to put their skills in action to open a new dessert bar.
Black Cherry has a range of sweet treats to sink your teeth into, such as cakes, waffles, meringues, mousses and slices.
All the desserts and cakes are made in house or sourced locally from South Australian patisseries.
For those wanting something a little on the savoury side, Black Cherry also has a range of savoury croissants and other snacks.
As owner Nico wanted to make sure no one missed out on some of their sweet offerings, the dessert bar caters for a range of dietary requirements.
The ‘Free From’ waffle looks mighty delicious, and is gluten free, vegan, and refined sugar free.
The dish includes a melody of cacao waffles with coconut yoghurt, berries, crushed peanuts, mint, pure maple syrup and a dollop of Pana ice-cream.
All of Black Cherry’s hot chocolates use real Belgium chocolate.
For something a little different, try the ruby hot chocolate.
Using pure ruby chocolate, the drink has a fruity flavour to it, with raspberry and strawberry undertones.
As soon as the liquor license allows, Black Cherry will be open for cocktail and dessert nights.
Black Cherry Dessert Bar is currently open daily from 8 am until 7 pm, with Fridays and Saturdays staying open until 8 pm.
