Our Plate is the latest eatery to join the stellar line-up of restaurants along Hahndorf’s leafy Main Street.
Serving traditional Thai food and Asian inspired tapas, Our Plate was opened by Nicole Jarmorndeeloke and her father, Vidhaya Jarmorndeeloke.
Nicole has wanted to open her own restaurant ever since she can remember. She started her culinary journey at the ripe age of seven, working front of house alongside her mother for their family business.
Nicole has instilled the core values of authentic Thai food into the new establishment, but with a youthful and fresh twist.
Head chef and Nicole’s father, Vidhaya Jarmorndeeloke, has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He was the founder of Sala Thai Cuisine in Stirling, and worked there alongside his wife, Patricia, for 17 years.
Vidhaya’s other notable career highlights include being Head Chef for the Sydney Olympics in 2000, and working at the renowned Adelaide based Thai restaurant, Golden Boy.
Vidhaya has tailored a traditional Thai menu bringing authentic tastes of Thailand to the Adelaide Hills. All the menu items utilise local produce and ingredients.
Indulge in menu items such as massaman curry, soft-shell crab, pad Thai and drunken noodles. There’s also a range of smaller dishes, vegetarian options, and desserts.
Our Plate has a luxurious mix of black and white furnishings, with a gorgeous chandelier hanging proudly in the centre of the restaurant, creating an opulent and appealing vibe.
Enjoy Our Plate all year round with their open fire to cozy up to in the cooler months, or satisfy your thirst with a Thai beer in the outdoor beer garden.
To celebrate the opening of the restaurant, Our Plate will be hosting a grand opening party on Sunday 25 October, with a lion dancing performance by Phap Hoa Lion Dancers from 2pm.
