Haigh’s Chocolate and Woodstock Wine team up to bring you the ultimate tasting experience

Get ready to immerse yourself in the ultimate chocolate and wine experience. From March 11 head on down to McLaren Vale and treat yourself to a day of dessert wines matched perfectly with your favourite chocolates.

One of McLaren Vale’s most iconic wineries has collaborated with the beloved team at Haigh’s Chocolate to bring you the ultimate wine and chocolate tasting experience – Sticky Fingers at Woodstock!

Launching as part of South Australia’s Great State Voucher campaign, guests will have the exclusive opportunity to taste four special fortified wines from Woodstock Wine’s family cellar paired perfectly with four specially selected Haigh’s chocolates.

Nestled amongst the towering gums of the beautiful McLaren Vale, Woodstock Wines is known for its exquisite after-dinner wines so this experience is dream come true for those with a sweet tooth.

“Woodstock has a proud tradition of after-dinner wines which spans over 70 years, which all began with my grandfather, Doug Collett,” explains third generation winemaker at Woodstock, Peter Collett.

“Three generations on and we’re still making, blending, and caretaking these delicious fortified wines – some of which are over 50 years old. They tell a historic tale.

The team at Woodstock has been searching for an experience that allows people to rekindle their love for fortified wineand to explore the immersive process in which it is made. During the experience, guests will have the rare opportunity to tase some of Woodstock’s cellar treasures.

The family has a long history of using old whiskey barrels to give their wines a distinct and sweet taste, and the team can’t wait to introduce guests to these flavours through a truly unique sensory experience.

“Haigh’s Chocolates were the perfect partner when we sought accompaniments to elevate the experience – their quality and variety is exceptional, augmenting the tasting experience and even highlighting complex sensory components in the fortified wines,” adds Peter.

“We’re really excited about what we’ve been able to create together with the team from Haigh’s, and can’t wait to welcome people to our corner of McLaren Vale for a finger-licking taste of South Australia”.

This exclusive Sticky Fingers collaboration is available from March 11 exclusively at Woodstock Wine’s Cellar Door.
