The Halliday Wine Companion has announced its Top 100 Wines for 2024, showcasing a mixed selection of Australian wines, presented by Sense of Taste, a leading retailer known for its fine wine collection.
The Halliday Tasting Team, made up of experts including Dave Brookes, Jane Faulkner, Jeni Port, Marcus Ellis, Mike Bennie, Philip Rich, Shanteh Wale, and Toni Paterson MW, carefully selected the best wines from the tasting season. Their goal is to highlight the diversity of Australian wines, while making sure the chosen selections are accessible and affordable.
The list includes various categories, such as Australian sparkling wines, white wines under and over $40, red wines under and over $50, and the Taster’s Pick – where each taster chooses their favourite wine of the year.
Here are the best red wines for under $50 for 2024, categorised into local and non-local options. You can find the complete list on the Halliday website.
