Hamilton Sunscreen Are Thinking Outside The Rubik’s Cube!

Hamilton-Cube-300x225As if reading scrawled handwritten scripts from doctors wasn’t hard enough, now pharmacists across Australia have a new challenge!

Australian skincare company, Hamilton Laboratories, have come up with a new and exciting way to interact with their distributors and promote the brand and their updated sunscreen packaging design!

Hamilton Laboratories will be distributing 5000 colourful ‘Hamilton Cubes’ in pharmacies across Australia asking staff to solve the frustrating puzzle.

Based on the Rubik’s Cube, first invented in 1974 and widely considered to be the world’s best selling toy, this special version features the distinctive new logos of the updated Hamilton sunscreen packaging design, which vary in colour depending on the product range.

The bold and stylised logos – unveiled in time for the company’s peak summer season – incorporate the capital letters H and L from Hamilton Laboratories, and are perfect nine-block grids for use on the cube.

Pharmacy staff members need to solve the ‘Hamilton Cube’ so that it shows their new logo on each side of the cube and then send photographic proof of all six sides of the solved cube for their chance to win a range of prizes, from iPads, iPods, and $100 Visa pre-paid gift cards.

Hamilton’s Joint Managing Director, Michael Blake, said the promotion was a fun way for pharmacists and staff to be introduced to the new Hamilton sunscreen packaging – and possibly win a prize if they could solve the perplexing cube.

“The feedback so far has been fantastic,” he said. “People remember Rubik’s Cube from the 1970s and 1980s and have been keen to take up the challenge.

“It’s quite different to the standard promotional material pharmacies receive. It’s a fun and interactive brand promotion giving pharmacy staff a chance to win great prizes.”
