South Australia artisan perfumery and wellness brand, Fragrant Rituals, is once again bringing back its ever-popular scent workshops.
Whether you’re looking to learn more about the history of scents, or you’re simply looking for a natural, chemical-free alternative to store-bought perfumes, this workshop may just be the event for you.
Owner of Fragrant Rituals, Zhanna Petku – who completed perfumery and aromatherapy training in Europe – says natural scents would hold the key to a brighter and more holistic lifestyle.
“My passion for holistic lifestyle and wellness comes from my East European heritage, where using traditional herbal remedies and folk medicine is very common,” says Zhanna.
“As a kid, many years before it became popular and trendy in Australia, I grew up drinking kefir and kombucha, eating fermented cabbage and other vegetables, and drinking herbal teas regularly…
“This, along with the fact that from youth I have developed sensitivities to chemicals in commercial skincare products, put me on a path of looking at healthier alternatives. Since my teenage years I have been making my own skincare, holistic remedies and herbal tea infusions.
“I believe, in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Natural scent could be that extra missing puzzle bit to make our life better and brighter.”
Fragrant Rituals’ next round of fragrance workshops will be held in Crafers, and will teach participants everything there is to know about the evolving industry of perfumery.
Perfect for a Hens day, birthday party, or night out for yourself, these classes will leave you will a “a solid understanding of fragrance families, the perfume pyramid and scenting techniques as well as the differences between aromatherapy and perfumery.”
Surrounded by essential oils, absolutes and extracts, each participant will be about to concoct their very own signature scent.
The workshops are limited to 9 participants per class to allow for a more personalised experience, so you will need to secure your tickets quickly!
No prior knowledge is required and all materials and tools are provided, so all you will need to bring is a keen interest and some creativity.
