A spectacular STORM by Harsh Realities is set to electrify audiences as part of the Lower Eyre Council’s 2023 program for ‘Baylight’ in association with SALT Festival on the Eyre Peninsula.
Experience STORM in Coffin Bay this April; a reimagined 15-minute audio-visual performance that will illuminate the sky, water & land to guide audiences through the story of a storm; from calm to chaos and back again.
This immersive audio-visual performance will illuminate sky, water & land to guide audiences through the story of a storm, from calm to chaos and back again.
The open-air 15-minute performance will incorporate lasers, lights and sound in a display like nothing before in the iconic Coffin Bay landscape.
This work is the most recent undertaking of Harsh Realities – a creative studio specialising in immersive
audio-visual experiences that evoke thought, deconstruct ideas, and reveal beneath the surface.
Recent work includes BREATHE, part of a year long exhibition at MOD (Museum of Discovery) and ORBIT as part of Illuminate Adelaide’s 2022 programming.
This is an incredible opportunity for the Lower Eyre Council to showcase it’s stunning scenery in a unique way no other could ever experience elsewhere, as agreed by David Musch, Principal Creative, Harsh Realities.
“We’re incredibly excited to be working with the Lower Eyre Council to present this project in a new
environment on the beautiful Coffin Bay foreshore,” David says.
“STORM is an evolving work which takes on a new form depending on the natural landscape and weather conditions it is presented in. We’re particularly excited about adding lasers as a new component to this iteration of the work to really wow audiences with a show to remember,” he concludes.
Composed of three parts; Calm, Rain and Storm, STORM highlights the beauty in chaos and the
unpredictability of nature.
After the worst has passed, the calm is always restored.
Visceral accompanying soundtrack composed by Motez, one of Adelaide’s most renowned music producers.
