Have You Spied Adelaide’s Vietnamese Garage?

We smell something cooking behind the Rob Roy Hotel…

It’s been a while since the Banh Mi craze took over Adelaide. Pleasingly, the love has stuck for the humble Vietnamese sandwich, so what can this new pop-up Vietnamese-style restaurant and bar offer to the faithful followers? Well, how about

Just last week, Vietnamese Garage has pulled up and parked itself in the back of the Rob Roy Hotel’s car park. It’s literally Vietnamese food in a garage! Not a laundry. We already have one of those in Adelaide.

Expect nothing less than tasty Vietnamese street food. Not only Banh Mi, but cold rolls, Pho and Noodle Bowls. And while you could order a beer or a glass of wine, why be boring? Instead, try a traditional Vietnamese drink like a Jackfruit Smoothie or their insanely delicious Iced Coffee. Condensed milk for the win!

And if you’re a foodie, as well as a crafty gal (or lad), then you’ll be in DIY heaven. The whole outdoor eatery is decked out in only recycled material straight from the Garage.

Check out the Vietnamese Garage along Queen Street in the CBD, behind the Rob Roy Hotel.
