It’s no revelation that South Australia is teeming with great wine and innovative production of food, so rightfully we’re claiming the title that names us as a premier eating and drinking destination (we’re a little patriotic, but we think we deserve to be).
And so naturally, we see it fitting to recognise and celebrate the South Australian businesses that are making their mark in the food industry by demonstrating their outstanding vision, leadership and innovation.
The South Australian Food Industry Awards Program provides an opportunity to vote for your favourite South Aussie food producer to be recognised in the South Australian Food Industry Awards.
The 2015 awards saw Robert Menz take first place, (who is currently helping us get through the work day with his delicious yet addictive Fruchocs, handful by handful).
Some suggested favourites include Spring Gully, producing a new selection of pickled cucumbers, olives, onions and capsicums, the Fleurieu Milk Company, our local dairy farmers that have been supplying to 24 countries in the world with quality dairy products, Enzo’s at Home, a renowned favourite in gluten free and gourmet ready meals, as well as Haigh’s Chocolates, supplying Australia with their chocolate addictions for 100 years!

Voting closes September 30, being named in late November. We’re not exactly saying that you need to try ALL of these before setting sail to your vote, but it is a pretty darn good excuse to venture out and taste some of the state’s best foods.
