Mix102.3 has announced its new breakfast show lineup for 2025, with Hayley Pearson joining Max Burford to co-host Hayley & Max in the Morning. The show is set to debut on January 20th next year.
Hayley, who briefly co-hosted with Max earlier this year, is no stranger to breakfast radio. She has previously worked at Nova and SAFM, and is currently the co-host of Channel 9’s HelloSA and co-creator of the website Adelady.
“I never thought I’d do brekky radio again, but here I am, so excited to be heading back to my first love: radio! More than anything, I’m just so pumped to have fun and genuine laughs with Max and the whole Mix family every morning!” Hayley said.
“What makes this even more special is that when I was 15, I did my Year 10 work experience at Mix 102.3. It was at that moment that I realised I wanted to be a radio announcer, so this feels like a sweet little full-circle moment.”
Max Burford, also the sports presenter for Adelaide’s 10 News First, will continue in his role on the breakfast show, co-hosting alongside Hayley Pearson.
“Hayley’s a gem, our time together earlier this year was short but very sweet. She fit in seamlessly, and it felt like we’d been working together for years. This show is going to be a stack of fun every morning,” Max said.
This new breakfast show duo comes after Ali Clarke announced in November that she would be stepping down from her role as host after three years. Ali made a lasting impact at Mix 102.3 through her community-driven campaigns, including granting the terminally ill wish of schoolboy Sammy Scully to become a police officer.
Hayley & Max in the Morning will bring Adelaide listeners the latest news, sport, entertaining stories and huge prizes every day from 6am to 9am.
