If you see a faded sign on the side of the road that says 15 miles to the Love Shack, then you’re probably coming close to the Adelaide Showgrounds this February!
Dating apps will be taking the back seat at the Love Shack, as traditional match-making style experiences come to Adelaide. Think Ferris Wheel speed-dating, blind dates and singles’ hypnosis. This Fringe event is essentially a single’s party meets love festival that is for everyone (couples welcome).
Dubbed ‘The Love Shack,’ this two-night-only event will be taking place in the Adelaide Showgrounds during the 2018 Fringe Season on a Friday and Saturday night. Singles, couples, groups, and individuals are all welcome. There will be plenty of action happening across the night, no matter your relationship status.
Get around (in a large wheel formation) some speed dating, and get set to board the iconic Nova Ferris Wheel for a truly new experience.
If speed dating on a giant wheel isn’t your thing you can settle in for some of the action on the Live Crowd Participation Stage. Play a role as Adelaide’s favourite comedic hypnotist will be putting people under a love hypnosis. Of course, you can also deal in a Blind Dates (remember the TV show?) experience. Get involved or sit back and be entertained watching others in hilarious surroundings.
As well as match-making experiences (can we just bring up the Ferris Wheel speed-dating again?!), there will be a Silent Disco, DJs, food trucks, licensed bars, multiple stalls, rides and amusements. Oh, and did we mention thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes for the matched couples to go on their first official date.
The dating scene is without a doubt one of the most talked about social topics at the moment for 18-40 year olds. Singles want to find love, and will do almost anything to find “The One.” On top of this, couples want fun date night experiences. So The Love Shack will truly shake up the dating scene and bring an element of fun to it.
Love will well and truly be in the air this Fringe. Literally.
