That coveted time of year has once again returned… Fig picking season is back, so we can enjoy heading up into the hills, where we can collect our own fruit direct from the source. Willabrand Australia (Glen Ewin Estate) are throwing open their gates from February 17th for visitors to pick their own figs.
The figs are huge at the moment and will only be here for a short period of time.
Willabrand Australia is an award winning family owned business specializing in fig products with 12,000 tree orchards at Glen Ewin Estate.
Managed using certified organic products that maximise their fabulous flavour, this is the perfect place to enjoy a different and unique experience with picking your own.
There’s also a fig bar, which serves up drinks and nibbles, and if you’re after something more substantial, you can book a table in their cellar door (which is open for breakfast and lunch, Thursday to Sunday).
It’s a great family-friendly day out and you can also bring along the pooch, but make sure your fur baby is on a leash.
