Headline Act Announced For SA’s Longest Beach Dinner – Love Velo Seaside

2017 headline act announced with Wes Carr leading a jam-packed night of entertainment.

SA’s longest beach dinner is back in 2017. Set beside the beautiful cliffs of Port Willunga beach, this truly magical dining experience will see guests sitting side by side enjoying a delicious three-course meal of regional produce, complemented by McLaren Vale wines and beers.

Wes Carr, 2008 Australian Idol Winner, will be headlining the event in 2017, and locals, the Hartway Duo, who combine the talents of a sax player and a DJ, will be the support act.

In addition to the long table, this year, there will be five new 10 seat VIP cabanas which will include a private waiter and special wine package.

As SA’s only gourmet long table dinner on the beach, the January 14th event is part of the Santos Tour Down Under celebrations. It will precede the City of Onkaparinga’s Festival of Movement on Friday 20 January, which will include outdoor markets, cycling activities, a cinema night and more.

Now in its fourth year, Love Velo Seaside will showcase the best in food and wine sourced locally from the Onkaparinga region.

“Love Velo Seaside has become an absolute flagship event for our region as part of the Santos Tour Down Under,” Mayor Rosenberg said.

In case you’ve missed it, La Velo is a gorgeous, long table candlelit dinner, on the sand, under the lit cliffs of the iconic beach. It draws 500 people each year to experience the glamour of a South Australian sunset, with entertainment, fine wine, amazing local food and more.

“There’s always a huge demand for tickets so we added 50 seats to the long table and five new 10 seat VIP cabanas, so a total of 500 people can now enjoy the event.”
