Hear from the creative minds shaping SA’s visual world in new design and advertising podcast

The Adelaide Advertising Design Club has launched a new podcast spotlighting the creative minds behind South Australia’s design and advertising scene.

If you love the visual world, the architecture of our everyday lives, and the vibrant stories that we share through design, there’s a fascinating new podcast made for you.

The Adelaide Advertising Design Club (AADC) has launched a new podcast to shine a light on South Australian creative professionals, sharing wisdom and experience along the way.

Hosted by award-winning copywriter and creative Andy Scott, ‘CLICK’ offers insight into the lives and careers of creatives working in Adelaide and around the world. New episodes drop every fortnight, each a concise 30-minute listen that fits neatly into a busy schedule so you can stay connected to the local creative scene. You can get it on all your usual listening platforms.

Scott said, “We figured with the chronic shortage of podcasts the world is facing right now, we’d do our bit and get one going – telling the tales of super-talented local creatives, discovering what drives them.”

“For many it’s a lifelong passion for their chosen artform. For others it’s about changing the way people feel. And for some, it’s about being completely unemployable in any other profession.”

If you want more of that witty humour along with bundles of passion and industry expertise, give CLICK a listen.

The podcast explores the career journeys, challenges and personal stories of its guests. Some are emerging names building momentum locally. Others are South Australians who have taken their craft beyond the continent.

Recent episodes have featured former South Australian Managing Director of New York agency Mother, Nicole Rowett, local advertising veteran James Rickard, and filmmaker and advertising creative Tim Piper, best known for Dove’s viral ‘Evolution’ campaign.

With a spectacular pool of artists, designers, filmmakers and communicators to draw from, the series is set to bring out a steady stream of engaging interviews and behind-the-scenes insights.

Now in its 50th year, AADC is one of Australia’s oldest and most respected creative industry organisations. It is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit club supported by sponsors from across the advertising, media and design sectors.

The club regularly hosts events and initiatives aimed at inspiring, connecting and promoting the industry. The podcast is the latest addition to its offering.
