Hear ye! Hear ye! The Royal Herald announces…
The Medieval Fair.
That’s right. Soon you’ll be able to journey back in time to see Knights on their magnificent horses jousting, brave battles fought in the main arena, and the skilled Medieval Archers on foot and on horseback.
Dress up as a King or Queen, a Lord or Lady or even a peasant and enjoy spending the day or the weekend wandering around Australia’s oldest Medieval Fair.
There will be over 50 craft and merchant stalls, with unique wares to buy. Stacks of food trucks will be slinging delicious, medieval treats. And there will be living history displays and encampments, blacksmiths and talented artisans demonstrating the art of lost trades.
Punch & Judy, Sir Bubble, jesters and jugglers, as well as dancers and musicians will rove around to entertain fair folk throughout the day. And if you grow tied, you can sit and listen to the musicians in the Pale Raven Tavern while you sup a mulled wine or handcrafted beer or as you dine in the feasting marquee.
Oh, and did I mention you’ll be wandering amongst Roman Gladiators and Highland Strongmen?
You can try your hand at Archery, be entertained by the many talented performers and entertainers or you can even take your turn in the stocks at South Australia’s original Medieval Fair.
And to top it all off, online tickets go into a random ticket draw which will see one lucky fair goer win a handmade bow, arrows and quiver set handmade by Little John Bows of Adelaide valued at $1200.
