Rev your engines and bring the whole family down to the West Croydon Football Club at Fawks Reserve this Sunday for the annual HeartKids 2024 Show n Shine event.
From 9am, catch colourful, jaw-dropping vehicles galore, market stalls, raffles and games for the kids – name a better way to spend a sunny Sunday morning. If you love vibrant chrome glistening in the sun, good vibes, and everything automotive this is the event for you.
“There will be over 200 vehicles on display. Vintage cars, muscle cars, sports cars, trucks, motorbikes and many more. There will be stalls, activities for the kids and a good old-fashioned Aussie BBQ” says HeartsKids SA/NT Team Leader Tania Potts.
“Our support is a commitment for life because there is no known cure. People with congenital heart disease face unique challenges for their entire life.”
HeartKids is the nation’s only not-for-profit organisation that strives to make a significant impact on the Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) community – focusing on supporting all people impacted by childhood heart disease, one of the leading causes of infant death in Australia.
CHD is the most common congenital disorder among newborns. The birth rate prevalence of CHD is understood to be around 8 – 10 cases per 1,000 live births. Out of the approximately 300,000 registered births in Australia per year, 2,400 – 3,000 Aussie babies are born with a form of CHD.
Their work has an outcome-focused approach and demonstrates a genuine impact for families affected by congenital or childhood-acquired heart disease and for the broader CHD community.
HeartKids provides support and resources to those impacted by CHD as well as those who have acquired a heart condition during childhood as well as advocates for their needs and funds life-saving research.
Sunday’s Show n Shine event highlights HeartKids’ focus on bringing the community together in support of those impacted by heart disease. All proceeds from the event contribute towards unite researchers, clinicians, heart kids, families and communities through world-leading research and action programs.
If you have a car, motorbike, bicycle, truck or other vehicle you believe needs to be put on display for the whole community to gaze at in awe, register today on the HeartKids website. When registering a vehicle for the show, vehicles are to arrive at 8 AM for staging.
