Hot diggity dog! There’s a new venue in Murray Bridge that’s slinging a lot more than just epic hot dogs.

Heavenly Hot Dogs has opened, and it looks amazing.

While the diner of course has loaded hot dogs (such as the Preacher Americana Dog with bacon, mustard, cheese, slaw, and BBQ sauce, the Godfather Italian Dog with bacon, onion, bolognaise, cheese and garlic sauce, and many more), their most popular meals are their schnitzels and milkshakes. Schnitzels have unique and mouth-watering topping options of avocado hollandaise, Armageddon chili mince, sour cream, and more.

Another notable meal is the “Mac Stack,” which is mac n cheese, bacon, and onion rings with cream cheese on top of it.

The Murray Bridge spot is also fully licenced, with beer, wine, and spirits accompanying the calorific burgers, dogs, schnitties, fries, and desserts. Heavenly Hot Dogs owners, husband and wife pair Troy and Sunshine Patritti, plan to open a beer garden in June.

The couple went brick-and-mortar by opening the diner and soon-to-be beer garden after outgrowing their food truck of the same name. They design the menu and venue around their personal tastes.

“My whole mentality with cooking is ‘if I bought the food, would I be happy with it?’” Troy says.

The spot’s fit out is bright pink and blue, and records adorn the brightly coloured walls. Troy, a steel fabricator by trade, built everything himself.

“Because I build it all, I built it the way my missus and I like it,” Troy says.

“It’s not retro or old school, it’s just different and happy.”

And speaking of happy, that’s exactly how we’ll surely feel after an epic feast at Murray Bridge’s newest venue. They’re open 11am – 7:30pm from Tuesday – Thursday and Friday and Saturday from 11:30am – 8:30pm.
