Hecho en Mexico, a new restaurant that has opened in Adelaide’s CBD, is celebrating its grand opening with one epic giveaway: 500 free tacos! Starting at 12pm today, locals can head down to Peel Street enjoy a free taco with different choices available, including fish, prawn, chicken, beef, pork, chorizo, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
Jarritos, Mexican soda company, are also joining in on the fun and will be giving away 250 sodas to go with the tacos. Hecho en Mexico Co-founder, Parveen Bajar said he was looking forward to treating Adelaide locals following a busy few weeks of opening their doors:
“We’ve been blown away by the support since opening our very first restaurant in Adelaide and we wanted to give something back to say thank you to everyone for stopping by, saying hello and dining in over the last couple of weeks,” Parveen said.
“What better way to celebrate than free tacos?! You better run, not walk, though – as we have a feeling these are going to fly out the door very quickly!”
In addition to the free tacos, the restaurant offers a full menu of street-style Mexican dishes, including tortas, AL pastor tacos, gringas, fajitas, and birria chilaquiles. Their famous gourmet tacos, especially the pork taco with achiote marinated and orange-infused pulled pork shoulder, are a must-try.
Hecho en Mexico is located at 12 Peel Street in Adelaide, and is open daily from 11:30am to 10:00pm.
