Heidrun Estate, a family-run winery, opened their first ever cellar door in McLaren Vale, which sells not only an incredible selection of Rohan Family Wines but a delicious, curated menu of accompanying small plates.
Boasting a charming lavender garden, the cellar door is the first from Heidrun Estate, and sits amongst the collection of wineries that make up McLaren Vale’s world class reputation as a must-visit destination for tourists and locals alike.
The cellar door, which opened to the public on 10 September 2021, is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and even features a three-bedroom accommodation attached to the cellar door which is available on Air BnB – the perfect getaway option for those planning a weekend to explore South Australia’s stunning McLaren Vale region.
The small, boutique style cellar door is evocative of a quaint cottage, surrounded by clusters of surrounding gums, nestled in the green landscape of the McLaren Vale. Floor to ceiling windows in the cellar door allow guests to feel immersed in the property’s grounds, while they sample a menu specially designed by Billy Petropoulos from Billy’s Table.
Featuring an a la carte menu, guests will be treated to a selection of oysters, cheese platters, bao buns, and Turkish flat breads during tastings, with wine experts on hand to take you through the selection of Rohan Family wines on offer.

Heidrun Estate’s Cellar Door is open 11 – 5pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
