Just when we thought the Flinders Ranges couldn’t get any more amazing, we discovered Heli-Camping! Whether it’s the pinnacle of your Flinders adventures, just part of your outback itinerary, or the sole purpose for your visit to the picturesque destination, it’s something we’ve thrown on to the top of our bucket list.
Departing from Rawnsley Park Station, you’ll take a late-afternoon helicopter flight past Rawnsley Bluff and over Wilpena Pound before landing on the Chace Range. Watch the sun set over spectacular views, whilst the tour staff set up your swag and camp for the night. You are then provided with a 2 course camp oven meal that you can finish preparing at your leisure. Sleep soundly under a star-filled Outback sky.
The next morning, whilst waiting for your transport back to Rawnsley Park Station, cook yourself a bush breakfast over the campfire with the provisions that have been left for you.
After breakfast you will have a 10 minute return flight back to the Station.
