Christmas in the Square is back this December at Henley Beach for a night of festive goodness that is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit.

On Sunday, December 1st, 2024, Henley Square will be filled with carols, food, face painting, kids activities, fireworks and more. The event kicks off at 6:30pm with pre-show entertainment—and maybe even a visit from St. Nick himself. At 8:00pm, the main event begins with the Christmas in the Square band, followed by an epic fireworks show.

This is the ultimate family-friendly event to start your Christmas countdown and get you in the holiday spirit. Get your friends and family together, and bring down your picnic gear to set up for a wonderful evening of festive entertainment. And what better backdrop to enjoy all this and more than with a stunning Henley Beach sunset?

The organisers of Christmas in the Square will be firing up the grill and cooking hundreds of snags in a classic sausage sizzle. All your favourite Henley Beach restaurants and eateries will also be available throughout the evening, making sure you won’t go hungry amongst all the festivities.

While the pre-show entertainment has not been announced just yet, 2023’s Christmas in the Square saw live music, acoustic tunes and local talent.

This event is hosted by The Christian Family Centre – Seaton, with the help of major sponsor The City Of Charles Sturt, and sponsorship from Emmaus Christian College.

This festive season there are plenty of other events happening in Henley Beach. There’s the Henley Square Markets on December 12th and a special Christmas edition on Saturday, December 21st. On December 20th the Henley & Grange Community Centre is throwing a Christmas Bake Off.
