Henry Winkler ‘The Fonz’ coming to Adelaide on national tour

Henry Winkler, known to many as ‘The Fonz,’ has announced he will be coming to Adelaide on his national tour.

Much-loved Hollywood actor Henry Winkler has announced he will be making his way to Australia next year- including Adelaide in February- on his tour Henry Winkler: The Fonz and Beyond.

Many remember Henry as “The Fonz” from the popular long-running sitcom Happy Days, which cued his rise to fame. This character, epitomizing cool, catapulted him to stardom and defined a generation. But Henry wasn’t just a one-role wonder. He evolved over the years, taking on memorable roles in shows such as Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation, and Barry, ensuring his place in the hearts of multiple generations of fans.

While known to many for his iconic roles on screen, Henry is set to engage Australian audiences on a national tour, diving deep into the stories from his extensive career, childhood, and personal artistry.

Henry’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Early on, the odds seemed to be stacked against him as he was told he would never achieve success. Today, he stands as an Emmy-award winner, a best-selling author, and a revered director and producer. His upcoming tour will centre around his memoir, ‘Being Henry.’

This not-to-be-missed show will culminate in a live Q&A and a book signing session. Fans can also anticipate hearing about his cherished dogs, who often find a special mention in his narratives.

Henry’s narrative is not only a testament to his diverse career but also a deep dive into personal trials and triumphs. Audiences can expect a riveting experience as he leads them through the highs and lows of his life. Whether it’s reminiscing about the overwhelming response at the 1976 Logies or the struggles of growing up with undiagnosed dyslexia, Henry promises to deliver a captivating storytelling experience. Further, he will touch upon the challenges that come with a larger-than-life role and the subsequent journey of self-discovery and evolution.

Often hailed as the “nicest man in Hollywood,” Henry candidly refutes the claim. He sees himself as a man genuinely grateful for the opportunities that came his way. A blend of wit, charm, and self-deprecation, he continues to win over audiences with his authenticity. Through his memoir and the subsequent tour, Henry seeks to convey a powerful message that transcends the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. “Being Henry” delves into the nuances of living under the spotlight, offering insights into both the blessings and the challenges of stardom. But at its core, it’s an ode to truth, kindness, and finding one’s purpose.

Henry’s latest work, “Being Henry: The Fonz … and Beyond” is slated for release on 31st October through Pan Macmillan. This visit to Australia will provide fans with a unique opportunity to engage with Henry, understand his journey, and perhaps gain a new perspective on life, stardom, and self-fulfilment.
