Variety – the Children’s Charity of South Australia have teamed up with Haigh’s Chocolate in another epic collaboration to bring you the best of both worlds. You can make your gift count this Valentine’s Day by simply buying your loved one a Haigh’s 125g large chocolate heart, knowing that part proceeds will go to helping kids be kids again.
Variety SA empowers children who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs to gain mobility, independence and self-esteem by granting practical equipment, programs and experiences.
The money raised from the chocolates will go towards helping children like seven year old Ethan who lives with autism spectrum disorder and has trouble communicating with others. Variety assisted Ethan by granting an iPad air and drop proof case to help him develop communication skills and regulate his emotions.
Haigh’s Chocolates Chief Executive Officer Alister Haigh said he was delighted to continue supporting Variety.
“At Haigh’s it is important for us to support our local communities and with this sponsorship we are supporting an organisation that provides real and practical support to children that need it most”, said Alister, who regularly participates in the Variety V2 Motorcycle Run.
Variety SA CEO Mark McGill, who is a self-confessed chocoholic, is incredibly grateful for Haigh’s Chocolate Heart Initiative.
“The proceeds from the sale of the hearts contribute to improving the lives of South Australian children in need. The more chocolate hearts sold this Valentine’s Day the better!” he said.
