Hewitson Opens Cellar Door After 20 Years

Barossa has a new kid on the block, but Hewiston Wines is no young company, their cellar door is 20 years in the making and they have some pretty incredible accolades.

The Barossa Valley has a new destination. After almost two decades producing award-winning wine from the great regions of South Australia, Hewitson are thrilled to finally open their very own cellar door in the heart of the Barossa Valley – on the historic Seppeltsfield Road.

They have restored the original “smokehouse” adjacent to the winery into a contemporary space that offers the perfect mix of historic charm and modern décor. Sweeping vineyard views from the elevated decks and terraces provide the perfect place to experience their exclusive wines from some of the great vineyard sites in the Valley. In the winter months pull a chair up to the beautiful open fire and enjoy a glass of your favourite wine.

At the cellar door they offer complimentary tastings of their wines from the tasting bench, plus there’s the opportunity to book private tastings. You can even pick up some great wines that are exclusively available at the cellar door only.

Adding to the reasons for why you should visit, Hewitson now offer corporate lunches or masterclasses with a wine maker. You can also plan your next function on their marquee lawn. Basically, get off your couch and head to this beautiful new cellar door for a visit. Regardless of your reason, it looks like you’ll have a fabulous experience.
