Hey Bianca pizza bus relocates to Mad Monkey tiki rum distillery

Great news for rum and pizza lovers! The Hey Bianca pizza bus is relocating from Summertown Studios to the Mad Monkey tiki distillery in Dudley Park.

A hidden tiki oasis in Dudley Park await rum and pizza enthusiasts with Mad Monkey Distillery and Hey Bianca Pizza teaming up to deliver a flavourful suburban destination, with the Bianca bus opening at its new home at 6 La Salle Street, Dudley Park.

Located off Churchill Roach, South Australia’s first rum-focussed distillery, Mad Monkey, uses traditional and modern fermentation and distillation techniques to create Unique Spirits. Their current offerings include Saccharum: a Caribbean unaged Style, Flora: 100% Australian Native Botanical infused spirit and Ubhal Bakte: a wood-fried apple pie, baked apple, smoked hazelnut, cinnamon and orange spirit with their first barrel aged rum due in September this year.

Positioned just outside of North Adelaide and the CBD, Mad Monkey Distillery is already a hit with locals who love the convenience of walking or riding their bikes to the funky spot to sip cocktails in the afternoon sun. Mad Monkey co-owner Scott McCarthy says the new addition of Hey Bianca is the perfect fit.

“Hey Bianca makes great pizzas and we make great spirits,” says Scott, “The 1950s Hey Bianca bus works perfectly, nestled in the palms and under our festoon lighting.”

“Visitors can relax in the large outdoor area under a tiki hut or in a cane swinging chair amongst the onsite orchard or take a tour of our bee hives, followed by a tasting with a views of the Stillhouse where our signature products are created, all with a delicious pizza in tow.”

Hey Bianca co-owner Aman Takhar is excited to bring authentic Italian pizza to the Dudley Park location with its food truck, formerly located at Summertown Studios.

“With the recent opening of our third location at Brighton, relocating the Hey Bianca bus to Mad Monkey was an opportunity too good to refuse,” he said.

“We love everything that the Mad Monkey team are about, there is such a fun vibe at the distillery and we see the Dudley Park location as a real destination for the north-west of Adelaide. It’s an escape in the suburbs and we can’t wait to get our full Napoli-style menu to the people, with a rum cocktail of course!”

Scott and his business partner, Alec McDowall, are family men and have ensured that the venue is also family friendly with board games and sneaky treats available for children of all ages as well as welcoming pets to the suburban retreat.
